«Microcredentials in VET: Opportunities for Employers and Employees, VET Centres, and Business Support Organisations»
The international conference “Micro-credentials in VET: Opportunities for Employers and Employees, VET Centres, and Business Support Organisations” was organized within the framework of the MICROIDEA project, the conference aimed to examine the role of micro-credentials in enhancing skills development, employability, and quality assurance within VET systems. It also highlighted the potential of micro-credentials to bridge the gap between education, training, and labour market needs.
The program included a plenary session with contributions from policy-makers, employers, and business support organisations, followed by a round table featuring VET providers, trainers, and learners from Spain, Greece, and Cyprus. Discussions focused on national contexts, challenges in skills recognition, and opportunities for certification and collaboration between VET institutions and enterprises.
This conference contributed to the MICROIDEA project’s mission to strengthen the recognition and validation of learning outcomes in VET across Europe, promoting flexible, transparent, and inclusive pathways for skills development.
