From April 7th to 9th, 2025, MICROIDEA project partners gathered in Copenhagen for the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting, hosted by 3F. The meeting fostered discussions on project progress, future actions, and international collaborations.
The Danish employment system was introduced, focusing on collective agreements, the Flexicurity model, and Denmark’s success in promoting equal opportunities.
The structure of the training material for the “Waiter” occupation was presented, emphasizing an asynchronous training format with scheduled synchronous tutoring sessions. Discussions continue regarding the integration of videos and the grading methodology.
The pilot program schedule was outlined, covering beneficiary selection and counselling (June–September 2025), training of trainers (September–October 2025), theoretical and practical training (November 2025–June 2026), and certification exams (June–September 2026). An online meeting in June will finalize counselling procedures.
Updates on the certification framework highlighted the pre-approval of the certification scheme by ESYD in March 2025, with theoretical and practical exams scheduled to start in Greece in October 2025.
Progress on the AI-driven Job Postings Analysis Tool included the development of a real-time platform and the upcoming introduction of an individual skills assessment tool for counselling.
Evaluation processes based on interviews and surveys will monitor project methodology and participant experiences. Dissemination efforts continue through website updates, social media engagement, events, podcasts, newsletters, and national activities. A workshop proposal has been submitted for the EfVET Conference in Fatima, Portugal, in October 2025.
Project management discussions covered ongoing coordination and the preparation of the 1st Interim Report submission to the European Commission. Strategic meetings explored broader collaborations and new partnerships, including potential cooperation opportunities with associated organizations.
Plans were announced for a study visit to Sri Lanka in January 2026, aimed at enhancing the project’s global outreach and promoting MICROIDEA’s microcredential framework. Additional engagement initiatives are being pursued with trade unions in Colombia and South Africa, as well as potential pilot testing collaboration with Scandic Copenhagen Hotel.
The next Transnational Project Meeting will take place in Reus, Spain, from November 11 to 14, 2025, featuring an international conference titled “The Union of Skills of the EU,” aligned with the latest European Commission initiative on lifelong learning and skills development.
