Our kickoff meeting took place in Patras, Greece in April 2024. It was a two-day meeting and took place on the 17th & 18th of April. Representatives of all five countries Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Polland and Belgium and from 12 organizations were in attendance to present the steps that had been taken so far as long as to set the timelines for the next.
After a brief presentation of its organization, five national reports were presented concerning the national certification/qualification systems. A rather interesting discussion was built, regarding the development of a holistic methodology which will lead to a micro-credential system commonly recognized in a European level and further. University of Peloponnese took the lead by presenting the first version of the IT tool for the skills needs analysis, a tool which gathers and analyses online job postings from various OJV portals. Our internal Evaluation plan was discussed as long as the Dissemination-Exploitation plan and its actions so as to brand our project outputs. We scheduled our 1st major event, a round table during EfVET conference October 2024 as well as our next physical meeting, a study visit in Cyprus on November 2024.
We thoroughly examined possible risks and dangers that might come up, creating at the same time a fully-fledged Risk Management Plan, on how to tackle such issues. Quality control, monitoring and evaluation of the project was also thoroughly discussed, to secure the high-quality of the deliverables. We took the last hours of the meeting to review everything, make sure that the steps and procedures are clear to everyone, and define the upcoming activities and meetings.
During our first physical meeting we strengthened collaboration among partner organizations, had the chance to enjoy the beautiful sunset of Patras and the Greek gastronomy by the sea, and left full of enthusiasm for the next steps.
